SAFA and Hollywoodbets to continue support of women’s football
SAFA has announced the renewal of its partnership with Hollywoodbets as sponsor of the women’s Hollywoodbets Super League.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to the continued growth and development of the women’s game in the country.
In a statement released by SAFA, the Association said that the continued partnership “reflects a shared vision to elevate women’s football, fostering a league that is both competitive and inspirational while paving the way for South Africa to become a dominant force in global women’s football.”
“Our aim is to be in the forefront in developing girls who play a role in our society into women, and through this league we have seen more players and more women leaving our shores to work as players, coaches etc. This is a testament of the value partners add into the lives of women in football,” said SAFA CEO Lydia Monyepao.
Monyepao also stated that 50 of the upcoming season’s fixtures will be broadcast live on SABC 1, with additional games shown on SABC’s Sport Channel and SABC+.
“Hollywoodbets is proud to renew its partnership with SAFA, a collaboration that reflects our shared commitment to the growth and professionalisation of women’s football in South Africa,” said Zandile Dlamini, spokesperson for Hollywoodbets.
“This continued partnership underscores our dedication to inspiring young girls across the country, showing them that with passion and perseverance, they too can become stars like the heroes they look up to,” she said.
The partnership renewal will guarantee financial support for all clubs across the league, the statement said.
