Rele gains approval from PSL legend
Kaizer Chiefs legend Arthur Zwane believes that Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng should be considered for the PSL Footballer of the Year award, alongside Mamelodi Sundowns star Lucas Ribeiro.
The Sundowns attacker has been tipped to bag the coveted individual accolade following an impressive 2024/25 domestic campaign with the reigning league champions.
However, ‘10111’ is of the thought that Mofokeng ‘carried’ Pirates this season and that his performances warrants recognition.
“I don’t want to sound controversial but I think Rele has carried Orlando Pirates this season,” Zwane said, as per IOL.
“You look at Ribeiro, obviously Sundowns won the league so it’s obviously Ribeiro. But as a youngster and looking at what Rele has done by carrying a team the size of Pirates was something else.”
