Polokwane Municipality urges Bafana supporters to fill New Peter Mokaba Stadium
The Polokwane Municipality has urged supporters of the South African national team to come out in their numbers when Bafana Bafana host Tanzania in an international friendly at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, 6 June.
The people of Polokwane will welcome coach Hugo Broos and his charges to the province next week as the national team look to extend their fine run of form this year.
Now though, in a plea to fill the Peter Mokaba Stadium, the Polokwane Municipality are once again hoping for a sold out stadium next Friday.
“Not only do matches involving a national team like Bafana Bafana lift the name and the province’s flag high, but they also go a long way in boosting our economy as well,” the Polokwane City municipality said in a statement, as per Sunday World.
“We showed our capability when we first hosted the team two months ago by filling the stadium.
“And our plea now to our fans is for them to come and fill the venue to its capacity. To prove that the last time they did was not a fluke.”
