Club Brugge winger Shandre Campbell has confirmed that playing for the men’s senior national team is his ultimate goal. The 19-year-old had a great 2024, earning him a move from SuperSport United to the Belgian outfit, though he is currently with their feeder team Club NXT where he has scored five goals in eight appearances. Campbell was also part of the SA U/20 side that won the 2024 U/20 COSAFA edition and qualified for the AFCON next year. Contributing three goals as the team lifted the trophy in Mozambique, the future looks bright for him. “The goal is to represent Bafana Bafana one day,” Campbell told iDiski Times. Even with that being said, the youngster understands the importance of timing and how it has to be right when it happens. “But I know it’s all in God’s timing. When my time comes, I’ll be ready and will give it my all. It feels amazing, you know – winning a cup for my national team [U20] and contributing to the nation is such a proud moment for me.”
