Shandre Campbell has been tipped to earn a Bafana Bafana call-up after making his debut for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League on Saturday.

The 19-year-old winger was promoted to the first team earlier this month following an impressive stint with the Blue and Blacks’ reserves, Club NXT.

Campbell scored six goals and provided one assist in 14 appearances for Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League after making the move to Belgium from SuperSport United in July 2024.

The teenager was introduced in the 85th minute against Sint-Truiden over the weekend as Nicky Hayen’s side battled back from two goals down to clinch a 2-2 draw at the Daio Wasabi Stayen Stadium.

Campbell took to social media afterwards to celebrate his achievement, writing on Instagram: “Proud to have made my debut for @clubbrugge. Mom and Dad, that’s for you.”

Hugo Broos is understood to be impressed with the progress made by the Matsatsantsa youth product and is considering to include him in the squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
