Adams on fixing his attitude under Broos
Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams believes that being omitted from the national team squad came as an eye-opener for him as he continues to be one of the country’s finest talents.
While at Stellenbosch, Adams was omitted from the Bafana squad that partook in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after breaching disciplinary rules.
Now back in the squad, Adams expressed that he was welcomed with open arms after doing his time under coach Hugo Broos.
“It’s like I was not out for a while. They welcomed me like I was not out for a while. The coach did punish me. I did my punishment,” Adams said, as per GOAL.
“When I got back, I think my performance didn’t give him a decision to put me out of the team,” the South Africa international opened up on Thursday.
“It was an eye-opener for me to do better and to fix my attitude. I did that and now I am back. Thank God for that.”
